Murray mod# 42598X92,Electrical Problems

I have a Murray Mod#42598X92. If you try to engage PTO it goes dead,If you let up on Clutch pedal it goes dead,When you disconnect the carburetor solenoid it runs and you can mow but it won't cut off. Only way to cut off is by reconnecting carburetor fuel solenoid wire connector,NEED HELP!!

It sounds like you have a safety switch acting up
Might try and bypass one at a time and see if you can isolate where it is

You have a seat switch problem plus a key switch problem
The mower is seeing an empty seat situation
The key switch is not connecting the magneto kill wire to ground to shut off the engine.

Well it depend where he plugging the fuel solenoid. According to the wiring diagram there is a two wire connector which provide 12v to the solenoid and also the kill circuit for the magneto.
