Murray 12 HP 42

Hello every one I live in Florida and I need HELP with my Murray, I have had my murray for 11 years now I have replaced the deck belt twice and now I changed the Belt drive on it and but now when I press the clutch down to stop or go to a higher gear it wont stop, can anyone HELP me with this

Thank you, I did get to fix that problem thanks again, but while wife was riding it the new drive belt burned and broke, guess I'll have another go at it. Any pointers???????

With the belt off, spin that little black flat idler pulley, it is likely locked up.

Also make sure that you don't get the new belt on the wrong side of a belt guide. Will smoke a belt real quick.
