Mulching

Just closing off the discharge chute wiil not give you a good mulching condition. My experience tells me Craftsman don’t mulch very good in the first place and you will need a mulching kit with mulching blades to get fair results.

Another queston.
I want to add a mechanical hour meter so need to know which wire out of the ignition swicth becomes live with the key on.
I can't find the wiring diagram on line.
None was included in the info packet that came with the machine.
 

Operational tip, when cutting/mulching, reduce the engine revs and the deck will clear better.

You can buy a Tremble Hour Meter that will not require any power.

On the back ignition switch you attach the meter's 12v lead to terminal A1. Note keyswtich symbols are not on the switch as the diagram but it is the same switch internally.
