Muffler glowing red in the day light

You can only adjust valve lash when that said valve is completely closed...

If you are adjusting when valves are open, that is the no compression problem.

So I have to adjust them when they are in instead of being out do you know the gap for this engine I can not find it anywhere.

Confusing you saying the valves are "in" or out" They Must be closed, & Someone else posted lash specs, check page 1 again.
