Wrong. Those would be off after starting. Fuel solenoid wire would be on with key and stay on till key is off.
 
yup played with that for sometime thinking that would work, used my multimeter and no go. going to just test battery for a while to see how much draw that little red LED is using after a couple weeks or so.
 
After rereading what I wrote it sounds like I am being an *****. Sorry if it came across as that I did not mean it to sound that way.
 
I put some LED lights on my raptor SD and if left along for a while, they drain the battery. How do I fix, take the lights off.

Could you mount an on/off toggle switch in the wiring for a positive off ?
Making the lights hot with the key switch on would give you Day Time Running Lights -
which you really don't need unless your riding down the highway.
