MTD Pinto - 7HP Tecumseh Engine

Hi folks,

I have an MTD Pinto with Tecumseh 7 HP Enduro XL engine and I'm having a bit of difficulty with it.

It hadnt been used in a few years and was disassembled when I got it. It is back together for the most part and it will start and run but it isnt running 100%.

When I go to turn on the blades it cuts out.

(It's almost like it doesn't have enough power to drive them)

Has anybody got any info and would anyone have any photos of the spring set up coming off the carburettor?

How's it going? Ok, we have it the set up sorted. The problem is the carburettor. Need a new one.
The engine details according to the label are TECUMSEH Enduro XL 7HP - 1951AC e11*97/68SA*2002/88*0353*00

Does anyone know where I might find one? Thanks

Those numbers don’t help. Take another look at your shroud, either stamped into the metal or on a tag saying model and spec.

Hi. I found another tag.
It reads - MODEL: OV195EA
SPEC: 23513B

This manual is as close as I can find, can’t find a manual specific to Enduro engines. Most overhead valve engines are setup the same. Look through the manual and see if any of the linkages look similar to yours. Maybe someone else has a source for an OV195EA manual.
