MTD oil on rear wheel

My MTD le135 (model 13ah773e600) lawn tractor has oily/greasy gunk oozing onto rear left wheel from behind wheel nut. Does this mean that a transaxle oil seal has gone? Does anyone know what gear oil is used in transaxle? I've looked at the MTD Europe website but it's not too helpful. Thanks
 
MTD doesn't use seals on most of the transmissions so what you are seeing is somewhat normal as the grease gets pushed out past the various bushings.
