Have an older Ferris Z with a 61"deck and a 27 hp Kohler. The left drive wheel is getting very close to not driving. It doesn't want to drive forward but seems okay backing up. Would it be the pump or the wheel motor? I'm thinking the wheel motor is failing because it does drive in reverse as it should so, if the pump was faulty, it wouldn't go backwards or forwards. Any thoughts???? thank you, gregjo1948

I tested the pump and found it to be working fine.
I believe the Ferris is an IS3000 model. and I'm looking for a Parker wheel motor TF0240UB080AAPX.

It could be the connection of the control arm as you push it forward is not working properly. Have someone sit on the seat with the mower off and move the working side as you watch the motion and then do the other side and see if the action is the same.

Turned out that the pump was at fault. Replaced some parts and seems to be fine now.
