mower issue

i just bought a new mower belt for my cub 1440 and the damn thing keeps popping off when i turn it on. its not loose and i was able to mow 2 yards with it fine. All the pullies are and bearings are good

have you got the right style belt? I try to buy my belts from the dealer and that way I get the right style belt.

Yes that may be true but belts are made differant for lawn mowers. I had to learn this the hard way when I frist started repairing lawn mowers after I had to buy the belts more then once. It may be more money but buy it from the mower dealer or NAPA has a line of mower belts.

Debris? Sounds like an alignment issue to me. I would recheck the components and make sure that none of them are out of line.

the main pulley that spins the deck looks like it is bent forward but the belt from the motor isnt chewed or stretched at all

I would check the main deck pulley for play with belt off. I would imagine the bearings are out. That would be the cause of the tilting pully.
