Repairs Mower dies

hi, I have a 2014,Troy bilt bronco riding mower. Works great. Just noticed today, it starts up, runs fine, but when the blades are engaged with the lever. It dies. Any ideas.? Thank you.

seat safety switch?
under deck clogged with grass and blades can't turn?

Thanks, I'll have to check. I'm not there, wife was mowing.

How much does the wife weigh. not to be personal but I have seen more than one case where somebody wasn't heavy enough to actuate the seat safety switch. Especially if the seat is moved all the way forward due to height and reaching the pedals.
