Mower deck

I bought a used Hustler Raptor 42 & former owner had a mulching “kit” installed by the dealer but I’ve noticed the brackets on my mower deck are different than the one in parts manual & attach by only 3 places not 4 connected to the height lever. The attaching bracket bolts are very long on mine & height linkage brackets are very loose. When I engage the deck to mow, the whole deck shakes side to side & the racket is deafening & sounds like a threshing machine. All I can do now is install shorter mounting bolts with flat washers & locking nuts. Again, comparing my mower deck to the one I see in the parts manual the mounting brackets & linkages attaching deck to the mower are completely different. Is there a mulching deck??

A "mulching kit" is a kit that is added to a normal deck on a majority of models.

My Hustler is a 2019 & discovered the diagram I was looking at for the mower deck brackets was for newer model mowers. Evidently Hustler had changed mower deck design for attachment points in the newer models. Haven’t had a free moment since writing first post but going to try shorter hangar bolts, washers & locknuts on the deck brackets. Hope it makes a difference in the side-to-side shaking & rattling.
