We have a Craftsman 13.5 horsepower 30" riding lawn mower, model 536.270320. I did an oil change this afternoon using SAE30 as recommended by the salesman at Sears. I overfilled it by approximately 1/8 inch on the dipstick, but thought it would be ok. I started up and it puffed some white smoke. As i drove it into the yard it started to run very rough. When i engaged the blade it died. I drained the oil until it was in the middle of the "good" zone on the dip stick. I also removed the spark plug and removed the fouling from the oil. Started it back up and it idled much better. However, it still wants to die when I engage the blade or moving at all, especially when turning. I pulled the air filter and carburetor to check for oil and it was clean.

As a side note i pulled the mower deck and sharpened the blade this afternoon as well. Not that i think it has anything to do with it but just in case.

Any suggestions?
