Model Identification Problem

Working on a "very experienced" Yard Man 38"/12.5 HP B&S
The model on the tag under the seat is: 13AT674G401(the seat must be from another model MTD)

The tractor has a totally different deck belt/pulley arrangement than what is illustrated in the MTD website. This tractor has the cable activated
deck belt tightening method via a lever on the right side of the body next to the deck height adjustment lever

so.............is there another place to look on the tractor to locate the model number?

I need to order the spindles, blades, and the belt tightening pulley,

Get the model type and code from the Briggs engine. Sometimes those numbers can be used to narrow down and reference a few models that was built that year

Yes seat is off another mower as it is off a 42" cut mower. What year is the engine? hoping it is the original engine.

That should make it either 134N604F401 [1994] or 135N604F401 [1995]; provided no other mods done.

Engine has been replaced also. Only 38 inch deck made in 1994 or 1995 had a flat head 28m707 engine.

I looked again... The mower body says 38"/12.5 HP B&S.....the engine is 15.5 HP OHV B&S....I got me a real "Frankenstein"
