Mower deck Metal Sheathe Against Pulley

I have a John Deere LT155 and the metal sheathe affixed to the side of the drive pulley just started rubbing against the pulley. I notice it when I pull up the blades and getting ready to turn off. It makes a grinding noise and I thought the bearings were going out for it makes the grinding noise on just one side of the pulley. How or does this need to be fixed?

Sorry do you have a photo of what you are referring to, is it a belt guide bracket you are talking about?

The bearing may be going on the pulley or the metal guard may be loose. There should be a nut holding it on, sometimes they get loose and turn so they rub. Pictures would help.
