mantis power rake warning

At the end of each year I go through all my equipment take them all apart and clean, tune up, and replace problem or going to be problem parts today I did my small mantis power rake and found grass completely packed inside completely packed the heat sinks air filter and cover so the warning is take an aircompressor to the machine after every use not a lot of people use these but thought is post it anyway

Ya I got it all cleaned up gave it new fuel filter lines breather cap air filter spark plug and replaced a few tines. The only thing I didn't do was replace the starter code because this particular piece of equipment doesn't get used very often

How are you liking your Mantis rake? I've been thinking about getting the STIHL Yard boss for detchating and then use the power broom to remove the thatch (I hate that word!!). Is the detchater ajustable or you just roll with it?

It does a decent job it by all means is no big power rake... You have to cut the grass short and then do the power thatching then clean up I usually just now and bag.. then do it again in a different direction works for me and is good for the grass because it doesn't get rid of all the thatch and moss leaves a little bit for the good that thatch provides

I thought so to but it was packed so tightly nothing would be able to live in there
