LTX1042 Kohler 19 has gas cranks fine won't start

Got a 1042 with the Courage 19. Been operating fine but the other day it would not start. Cranks fine, gas in carb fine, even starter spray ... still wont start. Fully charged battery. Dash shows PTO switch is working. Thinking coil? any thoughts on this topic? THX

air - clogged air filter or mice nest. Could be an OLD cellulose paper filter that is not passing air anymore.
fuel - trash in tank, dead internal fuel lines and filters. Maybe a bad or clogged shut off valve. Some form of blockage. Water alert!!!!!
spark AND at the correct time - flywheel key, good coil. Nice fat blue/purple spark tested with open gap spark tester. Turn out the lights to better verify spark color and gap size.
compression - enough to run or not
 
These engines are equipped with an automatic compression release (ACR) mechanism. It is difficult to obtain an accurate compression reading because of ACR mechanism. As an alternative, use cylinder leak down test.

Leak down also help pin if you have a cylinder or valve issue.
