I have 19hp 42 inch CC. in the last few weeks the idlers are cratering. First the thru bolt fractured, replaced worked for several cuts then the other the bearing disintegrated. Those 2 idlers m were part of repair kit with blades and spindles from Stens. Do they make a more durable idler. I do know that I,m asking more of this mower than designed for rocks branches dirt hump but thats my rural setting.. Why would the idlers have anything to do with the rough terain> Help if you can Thanks

Can you provide the Stens kit PN so I can look it up to idlers were in it?

where the from Stens or 8Ten?
as far as i know Stens does not sell kits like that, but 8TEN does.

That why I ask for the kit part number. And BTW Stens does sell at least one deck kit as I found in the catalog I just received. But their website that was apparently programmed by a 5 yr old is horrible; unless, you know the PN up front.

And just got in the 8ten site so that one I need learn what they got and what they don't.

It was a 8tens kit from amazon in spring 2024. Looking I guess for a more durable bearing setup in the idlers.

just get the OEM idlers from Cub, IMO they're as good as you'll find.
Cub Cadet 756-04129B SHOULD be the correct number for the LTX 1040 42" Deck idlers if my notes are correct.

I've used some of their stuff. its typical chinese stuff. I've had good luck with their Husqvarna spindles. supposedly almost everything has an 810 day warranty.

Those have been superseded to

With Husqvarna 532102403 [Stens 280-638] being a heavy duty version.

I assume they are a match for diameter and thickness? Also can my manual pto engage be changed to a elecric clutch? The arms just aren,t what they used to be
