LT1000 steering rod fell off

Here is underseat tag and pic of balljoint. You will need to zoom in on the silver part of the ball joint to see it. The ball part looks to be easily replaceable and faces up.Note the black rubber sleeve on the arm. .I was able to place the arm over the ball and snap it back in .There seems to have been a rubber sleeve over the hole in the arm that I assume was kind of a retainer.I assume it will pop off again so I will try to slide the rubber over the hole and press it in somehow, maybe with vice grip pliers..??

My mistake, the rubber sleeve was on the ball and now sits next to the ball.

So here is what was on the ball joint.I assume as a retainer.My joint is not replaceable so it's gonna be a temp hack fix or a new arm.I assume? Charlie

Come on, it is just a rubber seal to keep some the water and dirt out of the joint.
