Lt 1000 help me please

Hey I'm new to this forum but it have an LT 1000 with 17.5 hp brigs that had a bad head gasket so I order one and replaced it now it won't start so I checked everything it is firing it is an OHV it makes some weird noise when it turn it over it doesn't make it any since to me please help
 
Thanks we got it going today I mixed up the push rods now it runs like a champ
