Hello,

I have a 17 hp OHV briggs * strat engine. The model is 313777 type 0135-e1, it was given to me. When I try to crack the it the engine will not turn over. I have taken out the spark plug and nothing.
Any ideas on what to do before I tear it down. I need help!!

is the battery strong?
was it properly filled with oil when you got it?
whats the history of the engine? was it left out in the rain for years?
