limited reverse

hi my cz4817 has limited reverse and not sure why. goes forward no problems and turns left and right no problems. any suggestions on whats wrong and how to fix it. thanks
Believe your mower is rated at 6.5 mph forward / 3.5 mph reverse. Is that what your talking about?
I'm assuming the control levers are properly adjusted if it functions properly in forward. Does it have fresh enough fluid and filters in the trannys?No it's just barely moves almost like it's slipping
Can you elevate the rear safely and run it wide open in reverse and see if it appears to go faster than it does with a load on it? Sometimes after a zt sits for a few months during the non-mowing season, air can enter the system and be trapped within. This minimizes the fluid pressure which drives the system. And it can be more noticeable in reverse than forward. If you know the belts are good, no slipping, etc, I would begin with purging any trapped air followed by a fluid/filters change if that stuff is old. If you do get air purged from the system, top off the fluid as needed per you manual.
