Leaf Blower?

Anyone else feel like a leaf blower for lawn care is kind of overrated? I mean, I get that they clear off driveways and patios, but half the time it feels like I’m just moving the mess around until it lands somewhere else. I was thinking of picking one up for the yard, but not sure if I should just stick with a rake. Does a blower actually make lawn care easier in the long run, or is it just noisy yard clutter?

If used properly, I’ve found that leaf blowers definitely have a place in lawn maintenance, especially as you get older. Raking at my age, mid70’s, is too hard on my body and the blower makes it much easier to clean up my lawn.

Hi Prada,

If you like to clean and wash your equipment on a regular basis, they are great for blowing off all the excess chaff and debris, then blow drying after a good washing.

Use a rake and a broom for a few months and get back with us.

Use a rake and a broom for a few months and get back with us.

Then use a backpack blower and be amazed.

When it's 105F outside, kinda want to get the job done in speedy fashion.
