Hello, I am looking for any information that someone may have about the mower in the attached picture. The seller says it is a 28" cut but I didn't think there ever was a 28" Lawn Chief. This is the only picture he has and I am many miles away. Any help will be appreciated. On the side of the steering post it looks like it says 30 but you can barely see the letters. Thank You all for any and all information that you would like to share.

It's a 28" cut if he put the wrong blade on it, I've seen it happen with similar Snapper rear engine riders.

This might help, but you need to locate the label information on the chassis. The engine is likely a B&S 8HP.

From what I understand and remember, Lawn Chief was built by Murray for quite a number of years and distributed to many of the small-town hardware stores.
These were considered a "budget rider" like many of the Snapper and Sears rear engine riders back then.
They still withstand the "test of time" better than any of the newer models being offered.
