I just thought I would post some pictures of my 8461 commercial restoration for you Guys to view. The new commercial ball bearing wheels are on their way.

Thanks for the photos. It's looking good.

Where did you order the wheels? I could use a couple of front wheels for my 6255.

i have a guy here that is a stens dealer here and he gets them at cost and freight. exact same as OEM if you ask me!

Nice job,,,looking good. I tried finding a commercial LawnBoy last summer, locally (Michigan), but didn't have any luck. The few I found were in poor shape. I'm looking for that one machine that was used residentially.

There is a newer commercial on Craigslist in OKC. It has been on there for several months. Very pricey. Take a look if you are really interested.

Looking good so far! I picked up an 8461 towards the end of the season last year. Do you know if the bearings in commercial wheels can be replaced? I will probably end up replacing the rear wheels but wanted to see if there were any other options.

I've got an earlier LB commercial (model 6255) so mine may be different. I think the bearings are built into the wheels.

The key is to keep them lubed -- but I realize that may not help you. :mur:

Thanks for the info, I'm almost certain they are built in like you said.
