If you put TOO large a battery into a boat... It might sink.

I had the same problem with hard starting. After replacing many parts I discovered that the stranded ground wire bonding the frame and motor had broken. There was enough connection to enable it to start, but the resistance caused the need for more cranking amps. The problem progressively got worse until I discovered the broken wire at the ring terminal on the frame.

If it is intended for a trolling moter it is a deep cycle and won't last to long

I'll have to buy one the largest I have is 1 1/8 and it is to small.
