KUBOTA GH250 - no spark. Total mystery!

Motor stopped running in the middle of driving. I managed to start it, everything ok, but after a while stopped again. Not been able to start it again.
No spark.

KUBOTA GH250-Q-1-SOUK2 engine.
1 cylinder, petrol, 247 cc, 6 kW, non contact magnetic ignition.

I have replaced the coil to a new one, no spark.
Spark plug replaced, no park.
Removed the kill switch wire, no help.
Re-wired the battery ground (-) directly to engine block, no help.
The engine rotates well, but no spark.

I can‘t figure out anything obvious.
Serious help and advice needed.

Don't assume the new coil is good, and don't keep firing the parts cannon. Get a schematic for your specific mower and determine how that coil works. Example - does it rely on other circuitry to make a spark, or is it a basic magneto that just needs to have the magnets pass by it.
