Is it possible to bypass the accelerator pump mounted on the carburetor on this model?

Carb is dumping excessive fuel under load when accelerator pump is connected. Runs like a top disconnected but leaks fuel when motor is in shallow water mode.

No gas in crankcase and carb holds 15psi

cut the hose from top of carb to accel pump in the middle and insert a solid dowel pin in it . or replace diaphragm. it has a hole in it.
