Kohler courage SV735 type0017. 26 hp.
Has been a great running engine for th last 485 hrs.
Now running with intermittent power loss. Starts good with normal choke applied when cold, and good when hot.
Power loss come and goes.
Checked vent on gas cap it's good, put in new plugs, new fuel filter new fuel pump, new air filter. Checked ignition system to some degree by pulling spark plug wires one at time, it will start and run with one wire off.
Not sure if I have a valve issue or what.
HELP! I cut too much grass.
Thanks, Paul.

Disconnect the wire that joins the two coils together.
There is a diode in there that is prone to going bad.
Just remember to stop the engine you will either have to turn the fuel off or ground both off the coil wires.
While you are playing with the coil wires check them very carefully for chaffing and potential shorting to ground.
