I replaced the rings in my tired old engine and when I went to reset the valves I was turning the engine around to bring it up on top dead center I noticed that at one point both the intake and exhaust were going down at the same time then the exhaust came back up and the intake kept going down is this the ACR working or something else.

Could ACR but could also be the overlap of the valves at TDC exhaust where the intake valve starts to open as the exhaust is closing.
