Sorry for the double post. First time adding pics. I used 3/4” rubber stall mat as wing extensions. Bolting thru existing holes. 9”x7” pieces. Works pretty good so far

Those pics actually came through really nice!! Thank you!! I really like that idea of the rubber matting. Does it direct most of the snow to the auger instead of passing underneath to the tires? Also, what size tires are you using? I'm wondering if the tires I have are a little wide. I bought the machine used so I am unsure of the actual OEM tire sizing. I have heard a lot about HDAP tires and thought about looking into those to see what's available for this machine.

I"m using the turf tires. I have chains but fairly use them as they will tear up the pavement a bit. I try not to blow going down hill easier to get stuck)
if I do run into a problem, picking up the blower puts a lot of weight on the drive wheels and gets me out

I have a blacktop drive that is pretty beat up from the previous owners/tenants that lived here before we bought the house. I'm actually surprised that the turf tires do that well in snowy situations. I have the bar tread but thought about going to turfs to help keep me from tearing up the grass around our trees. I thought about looking into HDAP tires as well to see what they could actually do for me as well.

I have blacktop. I have stock tires. The rubber wing extensions worked pretty good. 1st yr for them. They will gather soft stuff. No good for ice ect. Chains would be way to tough on a nice blacktop drive I would think...
