Kawasaki idles faster after running

Not yet. Its been raining every day hampering me from mowing. However, several days ago I cranked it up and let it warm up and then ran it for 10 mins at fast speed. When I idled it back down it was the same as before, i.e. idling faster than when I cranked it up. I adjusted the throttle stop screw back out as it idled expecting it would get slower as I did. There might have been a little big but not more than 100 rpms or less. So, I don't know, Senior. I'll be mowing today, finally, but I don't expect any different than what I just said..

That screw on the carb is for setting the base idle speed but with governor idle there a running idle speed control by governor spring. With governor idle as the engine warms up it needs to close the throttle a little more to control the idle speed; hence, the base idle speed adjustment and a governed idle speed adjustments.

I am surprised the difference between the two is so close when compared the Briggs setup that has nearly 500 rpm difference.

Now the X350 can have a FS600V or FS651V but the adjustments are the same. Just in different positions.

If you have the FS600V use the following link for service manual. The adjustment procedure is in the maintenance section.

StarTech, I know this is an old post I got frustrated last summer trying to figure it out and just left it as it was. I think I found the right page in the manual you sent me --- page 2-7 ?? Actually though my engine is a FR691V 23 hp. I think I'll try this again. "Probably" the adjustment procedure is the same on my engine......you think?
