Just can't get going

Hello, I have had the bad boy for several years and it has been great, but suddenly it does not want to start going. I fool around with the control for a while and it suddenly engages and all is fine. This has happened the last few times I have tried to get started. Any suggestions?

We need more info, won't move ? Mower deck won't start ? Also model number of machine will help.

You need to check the ground wire. Have you replaced the battery. There is a second (small) ground wire that must be cleaned an tight for the safety features to work properly.
