Hopefully it will be delivered today, so I can get started with my new-to-me lawn tractor. I have purchased a service manual for each and every car & motorcycle I’ve owned. This will be no exception. I look forward to seeking help from those who know what they’re doing!
 
Welcome to the world of lawnmowers. If you need anything for your JD or other mowers be sure to give us the model and serial number from the mower tag, and not what is written on a sticker on the side of the hood.

Welcome to the forum.

You are "getting off on the right foot" if you are using a service manual. Too many people think they can rely on watching videos and trying to fumble through the problems. The manuals do not cover everything and that is where forums like this can be very useful.
