Over time the deck mounts wear and in particular the front drag link mounts get bent back.
Thus the deck sits too far back so the belt can never get loose enough to slip.
Also measure the belt as some times they are wrongly labled
I'll check the deck mounts and and front drag link and see, also what is the correct length for the LT 180 48c deck belt?

If you want to post the part number I will see if Gates have a specification for it.
Over time I have found the Gates cross refference to be the only reliable one .
Most sites just cut & paste from another site so if the first one has a mistake then all of them have the same mistakes.

I have the exact same problem. Third belt, new draft arm....this month very frustrated
