I'm thinking I might need to take the solenoid off first. There is no way they will stay in place putting it on if they didn't stay in place taking it off.

That won't work. Will my mower run right if I only put one jet in?

You were right. I forgot to tell you. There was water in the carb. I accidently took it kinda apart but upside-down. I didn't take the carb off and turn it over which I guess is the proper way, I just took the cover off while it was on the mower, lol. I had to call John Deere, and they told me to super glue the jet back in. I did and it worked great until I gave it to the well pump guy. I didn't want to pay the $189 service call because he didn't do anything. Oh, except for you can't use Gator Blades with the mulch cover on. It overheated for almost a whole summer. Thanks again 10 years late!!
