John Deere L110 wont start

Little background. Ran out of gas while mowing. Put about 1/2 gallon of gas in finish job. Couple passes and it shut down. Motor turns over and will fire up for couple seconds when starter fluid used. Blew out fuel filter and changed fuel pump. Have flow but still won't start.

If you have fuel flow at the carburettor but the engine will fire on starting fluid & not on petrol then the problem is in the carburettor
Crud blocking the main jet or bad fuel solenoid

R U sure U did not pour water in it?
