Was cutting my grass and all of a sudden while motor was running and blades turning forward movement stopped. For a second I smelled something burning and light grey smoke coming from the mid to front underbody section.... Turned it off pushed it using the freewheelin lever back to the garage and restarted.... Everything worked fine except pushing the peddle for forward and reverse resulted in nothing... no movement either way. Quick look and the drive belt seems to still be on and in good shape..... Anything sound familiar? Thanks....

Error click anyway Sounds like your idlers for drive belt items 4 & 5, bearings are shot. Remove deck, see if you can spin both idlers by hand, inspect belt for replacement.

Thanks mechanic mark.... Turned out to be just the driver belt somehow slipped off the front drive pulley..... Was an easy fix. Removed the brace plate and then it was fairly easy to slide the belt back on the pulley.... Not sure how this happened but maybe a small tree branch worked it's way between the belt and pulley..... I have a lot of little branches... The black smoke was from the belt. Thanks again... This is a great forum.....
