Never found a good solution for this, so I'll throw it out here for input..
Got the 111 a couple of years ago, blown 11 hp engine. Swapped it out with a B&S 12 hp. Original tank is located in the back under the seat, under the body. The 11 hp. had the vacuum fuel pump on the carb since the tank is not above the carb level. I tried to graft the fuel pump on the 12 hp. carb, never got it to work right, so I mounted a 1 gal. fuel tank on the back of the seat in true redneck fashion, secure but ugly. Is it possible to make this work so I can reuse the original tank?
