JD D105 to La150 mowing deck

This question may have been asked and answered before. If so, I apologize in advance. I am considering buying a LA 105 JD mower that looks almost new. It has no deck with it. According to information I have found online, the LA 150 originally came with either a 48" or 54" deck. Will the 42" deck off my D105 fit?

Probably not. Many mowers have specific deck set ups so that interchangeably of decks is not that easy, without modifying. John Deere is usually even more proprietary in parts interchanging easily.

In order for a deck swap to be successful, without modification, you would need to take measurements. That can only be done accurately with both decks being side by side along with visual inspection.
