JD 316 Manual & help

I'm in need of some help. I have a JD 316 with Kohler engine that hasn't been taken care of. I would like to get a copy of a manual, free if possible. I know there is a oil leak, must be small.
Bottom line - I'm a woman without help & want to fix this baby myself. I think a tuneup would be first thing?

You can get the Kohler manuals free online, just find the model number tag off of the engine and post it here, model and spec. would be best.

I found the model number that is on left side of the steering wheel *M00316X288605* and can't find any info on it.
