John Deere JS60H walk behind

Briggs rebuild kit #792383 but ordered the rotary 12293. Carb has 2 welch plugs on the carb inside the bowl that I removed to clean carb. The bigger welch plug fits one hole but the other is way too small for the other hole. Briggs IPL doesnt show 2 welch plugs being used. Heres all the numbers off the carb 3975 2211. This is stamped on the side of the carb, 214661 T. Wrong carb for this engine?

I had to strip the carb cause PO step son likes to take apart things that work for no reason. PO had this outside for who knows how with the air filter and cover missing. Engine was full water up air filter base. Drained oil/water back late spring then ran it by spraying carb cleaner in it. Last month changed oil again cause it had water it. Carb had wrong bowl that didnt even fit right. Had the right bowl on my parts shelf. So will the Briggs kit have all the welch plugs that are needed? This carb uses 2 welch plugs inside the bowl and both the same size.

Here's pic of where the 2 welch plugs go on the carb.

Don't know what Rotary puts in their gasket sets, but the Briggs one, 792383 should have two welch plugs, which I found when looking it up. I would say that you have the correct carb for your engine.

But question is are they both the same size? Welch plug holes are same size. Rotary had little tiny one which too small. The other was right size.

I don't know about the sizes, as I can't remember the last time I replaced a welch plug. With either a carb soaking in a carb cleaner or ultrasound machine, has cleaned the passage ways for me.

I dont know either on this issue. I guess this could be one of rare carbs that Briggs throws out at everyone where the kit doesnt have all the parts needed to rebuild it.

Most of the briggs kits for the smaller engines come with 2 welch plugs, a bigger one, which I never remove, and the small one which goes over the transition ports behind one of the mounting bolts. Since it is a Walbro carb, you may be able to find the correct plug by going to a shop that has the individual parts to repair the small two stroke carbs.

Both welch plugs are the same size on this carb. I got one today. Then my supplier is sending one also. Nobody had the 792833 to see whats all in that kit under briggs part number.
