is it feasible to remove starter and control box on Hondas hr214sm and hr215hma and strictly use just the recoil as wish to reduce weight. How done?

Anyone done? how done? is there a plug to cover starter area? have seen a kit for removing electric starter on motorcycle.
 
I've been contemplating the thought of replacing or converting my HR215HXA with a HR215HMA because the HMA is a cooler mower to me with the electric start. lol. Depending on your location and interest in moving forward, maybe we could work something out.
