This is my first summer in my house. It's got a larger yard that my previous house, this lot is just shy of an acre

My previous homes always had a pretty square front and back yard. I used a push mower and went straight across the lawn and the back again.

This lawn has more landscaping and that and the house the lawn is a bit more irregular shaped, but not terrible.

Anways, I am going to be mowing with a 48inch deck on a husqvarna tractor. I am thinking about visually sectioning off chunks of the yard and mowing each independently of the other, such as North front, Backyard, South side and front. Then I'll probably mow with a 'zamboni' pattern for each of the three zones.

Any thoughts or ideas on this?

I just always mow in a different direction than the previous cutting if you mow the front North one time mow it South the next time. I use 5 different patterns, and start back at the first the 6th time.

Only have two ways to cut something any other lines on it makes it look funny, diamonds or checkers. Or you could get creative...
