Intermittent no start condition

I have a 4231 with an intermittent no start condition. Traced power to the starter without issue so I replaced it. Also using a brand new battery I got from a friend. Still intermittent won’t crank. Relays click and fuses have been replaced.

Any ideas? Neutral switch has some play so I put a spacer in there, no change. Not a whole lot left to look at. Ignition switch maybe?

Intermittent is tough to diag unfortunately

Update: the armiture is striking the flywheel. Doesn’t look like any birds on the flywheel but that is the issue. I may file it a bit or see if I can tweak the starter away from the flywheel. See if I can gain a few thousandths. Hopefully that and some grease will take care of it

Got it sorted. Wasn't the ground. For some weird reason it didn't line up. No burr on the flywheel. I took it off and reseated it with a small tweak away from the motor and it works fine everytime. Replaced a lot of starters, never seen this before. Thanks
