Briggs and Stratton V-Twin engine on Husqy YTH24v48 (2018). Wasn’t starting at all so have replaced: fuel filter, fuel pump, spark plugs, battery, solenoid, air filter, and carb (new). Upon carb replacement, it now starts but will not stay running unless we manually manipulate the automatic choke (see linked video below). Getting too much fuel, not enough fuel? Not sure how to adjust it as there doesn't seem to be a fuel mixture adjustment screw on the carb. Appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

You are not getting enough fuel for some reason. Did you check the fuel lines from the fuel tank to the fuel pump? There is no adjust on the carb.

Thanks for the reply - yes I’ve validated that fuel flows freely through to the carb. It seems like the auto choke air vane is closing after start when it shouldn’t stay open. Not sure if it’s a bad linkage or spring or something, but also not sure that’s it. Thanks for the help.

Post engine model and spec. I like to look the OEM carburetor images. Also the carburetor you installed OEM or aftermarket?

The choke air vane is operating as intended, the suspect is the carburetor itself.

Thank you: Model # 44N877-0003-G1

And yes, it’s aftermarket. Looked well machined and seemed to fit perfectly, but is aftermarket, yes.

Hm, found this on the floor. Not sure it’s even part of the mower. This look familiar to anyone? 😬
