im just getting into the buisnessFirstly you can get JD plastic welding sticks , they are actually the same price as most others.
JD use a fully plastic on their hoods so most repair systems do not take .
Next , note that image is a screen shot pulled off the web
Mr redneck's posts were a bit suspect so I doubt that it is genuine .
The mods are either going to turf him or watch closely all of his posts.
First he has the engine from the 345 for sale, ran well for the last 100 hours
Next post he wants to put a preditor into the same mower
Next he want a cheap hood
Next he is touting for any cheap ride on .
are you in mi id love to meet up so you can teach me some thingsThen you going to learn a heck of lot. How work on the mowers, how to ask for by providing the info that needed, learn accounting, learn how to correctly spell words, and still there is a lot more to learn. This business is not a fly by night operation if you are going to do well and be able to warranty your workmanship.
I just fix two rednecked repaired garden tillers over the weekend where whoever did repairs should just go back to high school and take shop class. I mean they could even tell the difference bewteen a choke and a throttle control. And don't me started on the JB Weld use inside a gas tank [how stupid can someone be].
Redneck repairman are a penny a dozen where a good mechanic is worth his weight in gold.
I do know the plastic used is not LDPE or HDPE as both can't epoxied except with a very very special bonding agent or plastic welding. I agree that those LDPE rods will not work as they match the plastic used.I got mine from a plastic repair specialist in New Zealand ( Techspan RPCPET3RGI- PC/PET- JD Green- 3mm round- 25 lengths )
In the US Pollyvance is apparently the go to
Apparently their welding kit is quite good as it has all of the tools needed
Polyvance welding kit
or just the rods
Green Pollycarbonate welding rods
JD use Xenoy - Valox blend which is a variation on std pollycarbonate supposed to be more UV resistant
Be careful.
I have seen LDPE rods listed as JD Green .
Most rainwater tanks are LDPE so most of the green welding rods advertised are LDPE.
If they are cheap they are LDPE and it won't take to Xenoy
i ment topull it off the web mines in primer with the hood pulled offFirstly you can get JD plastic welding sticks , they are actually the same price as most others.
