I love the Java Jive and it loves me!

Mmm, coffee, tea, love them both!

Tea is good to quench a thirst, but coffee is a drink I drink because it gets me through the day, and tastes damn good!

I take mine with two sugars, and a splash of milk.

Good ole instant!

Wakens me up first thing, and keeps me going through the day!

Coffee or tea anybody ?

After being spoiled by my Keurig, instant tastes like dishpan water swill.

Not that I didn't think it tasted that way before - but now it's worse.

I think I'll pass on that, just need to loose a little weight in the waist area. Lost 7lbs last year and my numbers went down, gain some of the weight back this winter and my numbers went back up.:confused2: They say it has to do with you belly fat.:ashamed: Need to stay more active in the winter months.

We used to grind our own and all that, but the Keurig machine is faster and much less messy. I believe it even saves money if you buy in fairly large orders - you get a FRESH cup every time and don't waste half a pot of Coffee. Each person can have their favorite cup ! :licking:

I loved the Keurig because my wife and I have such different tastes in coffee (I hate all that flavored crap). But we just put our Keurig into storage - too expensive. Even if you buy in bulk it works out to about 50 cents a cup. I can make 24 cups of coffee (even using an expensive brand) in the coffee maker for 50 cents.

We bought the individual cup filter for the Keurig - you can put regular coffee in it and brew your cup as usual. But it was too much of a hassle to clean after every use.

I had a Mr Coffee espresso/cappuccino machine in the 90's when it was THE big deal, used it for like 5 years, ground my own - used the syrups, got really good at frothing the milk - then got bored with it.

Got a Senseo about 2003 when that was the NEW big deal, But, didn't use it much. The pods were hard to get, and expensive as heck - but it was 10 times easier to use and clean than the espresso machine. The tradeoff was not much froth on the espresso (or coffee), and no steamer for frothing milk. Used it a lot last year - a liquidator had the pods for about $2 a bag-----I bought $50 worth of them!

Almost 2 years ago, I got the Keurig - bought the charcoal fiolter, k-cup carousel and the whole nine. I just love the convenience. It doesn't need to really be cleaned, since the cups are self-contained.....and even to clean it, a couple of hot water cycles is good enough. Downside, just a coffeemaker - no froth at all. However, like you said, BK, having an absolutely FRESH cup of joe in about 20 seconds is just unbeleveable. Just change the filter once every 60 days, and that's about it for maintainence. Although 3 times bigger than the senseo's tank, it's still a tad small.

We have the Platinum B70 - I know it might be expensive for some people, but we were getting whole beans and making a whole pot - by the time I was on my 3rd cup - it was starting to taste stale -- this way each person can have a FRESH cup of their favorite blend every time. No brewed coffee wasted and (for us) it works out to be less expensive.

I have the elite (dunno why they call it that, since it's like the base model). I got it at the same salvage store I got the Senseo pods from - for $60 brand new - just missing the sample pack! I couldn't pass it up!

I have that, and I have one for the Senseo - they do the same thing - they get coffee everywhere (no matter what grind I try, no matter how I pack it or don't) and it tastes watered down and wimpy.

I used them both according to the instructions, with lousy results every time.

I like mine black. I have a Keurig and only use it occasionally. Drink lots of it upto 2 pots per day and on many days I end up at Mac Donalds for one. The price is right $1.00 a cup.

Starbucks..... coffee, just coffee with nothing else added...
Espresso or French press those are the best ways to make it...
But I'll drink coffee no matter how it's made, all day if I'm around it... :smile:KennyV

It's a new one - in Falconer. It's in the old Regal Lumber building - they went out of business about 7 years ago. I know - I was working for them when they did!

I'd LOVE to claim responsibility for pulling them under...they got new owners, and took a multi-generational institution (not to mention mulit-MILLION DOLLAR) and drove it bankrupt in 5 years.......YUPPIES!!!!!!!

Keurig for the win. I use "Jet Fuel" K-Cups from Coffee People almost exclusively. Great stuff, it has enough caffeine to make a dead man jitterbug.

I like iced tea as well and I drink it how I like my coffee. Straight up. No sugar, no cream, nor any other concoction you fancy lads may use.

I'm goofed up on the Jet Fuel right now, as a matter o' fact!

Keurig has been good for me. Was getting tired of grinding my own beans for just myself, as my wife is one of those people that doesn't really appreciate the taste of REAL coffee; she'd rather drink the swill that restaurants try to pass off as coffee. Anyways, it's Tully's Italian Roast for me, but it's damn hard to find, so in lieu, it's Dark Magic, Sumatran Reserve or Espresso Blend by Green Mountain, either straight up or with a splash of International Foods Coffee House Dark Chocolate Cream. None of those are quite as satisfying as Tully's Italian Roast, though.

Lots of Iced Tea as well.
