Hustler Raptor Starting Problem (electric)

My hustler raptor zero turn is having intermittent cranking problems. Sometimes it fires right up sometimes I have to hit the starter for several minutes before it cranks. I'm pretty sure it's an electrical problem ... short somewhere?
 
Usually that type of failure is a bad ground or corroded connection.
The wiring on ZTR's takes a beating being exposed as it is , even condensation is worse on ZTR's than tractors.
Relays are most prone to this .
Seat switches are usually wired into the kill circuit not the cranking circuit or clots like me can't start them in the workshop.

If you haven’t done so, try bypassing the seat switch.


Seat switch is not in the starting circuit. It is for idiots who think they can get off the mower with blades on and brake not set.
