Hustler Dash transmission neutral switch

Is there an after market rod to set the transmission switch to neutral, so you don't have to reach underneath to disengage???
 
The Dash doesn't have a rod (that usually comes out the rear end), you have to reach underside and turn the release. Is there a after market rod or does Hustler make one for this model?
 
Sounds like you have a hydraulic bypass release like some of the bigger John Deere models. I am not aware of any electric solenoid kit that can be plumbed in.
 
I reckon Hustler was too cheap to add these.

You can make you own out of some cemetery reef stand legs. You need to drill a hole in the slots of the frame. And would need to at least drill a hole the bent rod end for a keeper key.

Now the rods off the JD Z950R might be what you need. But you need to try find a used one for trial fitment.

Ok now folks, am I the only person who can get down on my prayer bones and move a rod? Or am I missing something! Please advise me. Not trying to be a smart butt, it would take a few hours to make something to replace what's already supplied.
 
We are in the "Jetson's age" where everything has a push button and instant gratification with little effort I suppose.

My favorite scenes from that cartoon were them complaining about their aching finger from pushing buttons all day.

I'm not a big fan of searching for bypass pull rods and turn valves, but I never have to use them hardly unless I break a drive belt.

Yes sir. You are missing something. The Dash has no rods. And they do not make them for this model. I have to reach underneath the mower and turn the lever on the transmission by hand. It just would be convenient to push pull a lever like the other models.
