Husqvarna YTH 2242 T choked halfway to run

Hi. I've had this lawn mower a few years and have always had to run it on half choke. When I first got it (Mar 2021), I changed oil, replaced spark plugs, gas filter & air filter. March 2023 I adjusted the valves to 0.006 for intake and exhaust on left and right. It still runs great - choked-halfway, else it dies out. Curious what your thoughts on the issue might be. If you having to run it with the choke you're starving for fuel , look at your carb first
